Sunday October 23, 2005
A fire chief took charge of the Service Incendie de Rivière
Beaudette, in the absence of director Stéphane Trottier. Heidi
Parent, 10 was named for the day.
She had a busy day. To start she received a shirt, helmet, bunker suit
and her pager. Once the presentation was done she supervised the
maintenance work in the station. At about 13:50 a call was put out on the
air for a vehicle on fire at the Lalonde sand pit. Once on the scene
firefighters aided by the chief extinguished the fire. Returning to the
station the cleaning detail was done and with all of the vehicles cleaned
and back in service the firefighters ate at a restaurant in the company of
their chief.
On behalf of myself and the department I would like to thank the Garage
Dicaire, Carrosseries D.C. for towing the vehicle and Mathieu Cormier for
his vehicle. Not to forget the firefighters who wanted to participate in
this day.
