| SSIM personnel pay their respects to Capt. Marleau |
 |
 |
On January 26, 2006 the Service de Sécurité Incendie de
Montréal said good bye to Capt. Marcel Marleau. While a large
number of off-duty firefighters from Montreal and many other departments
attended the funeral at Notre-Dame Basilica the on-duty personal also paid
their respects to their departed colleague.
Each station moved their apparatus in front of the station and at
11:00, the hour that Capt. Marleau's funeral started, with the apparatus
lights flashing the personnel observed a moment of silence.
At station 61 in Dollard des Ormeaux units 131, 461 and 261 and their
crews as well as the divisional secretary and prevention staff paid their
respects on a bright, crisp day.
