At approximately 2:20 AM on November 5, 2011 firefighters were called to 504 St. John's Blvd. in Pointe-Claire, QC for a fire in a third floor apartment. First in units reported flames showing and residents were reported on balconies awaiting rescue. The fire spread to the roof of the building and a total of five alarms were rung in. Fire damage to the second and third storeys is extensive and a woman and her son, possibly living in the apartment where the fire started, are reported to have lost their lives. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family of the deceased.
