Fire at Canadian Cotton Mills building, Cotton Mills Street, Cornwall, ON - 2010-10-10/11
A general alarm fire destroyed the Canadian Cotton Mills building on Cotton Mill Street in Cornwall during the night of October 10-11, 2010. The building was slated for demolition owing to its unsafe condition. The fire was contained to the main building however there was some smoke, water and heat damage to adjacent buildings.
Mutual aid was provided by the municipalities of South Stormont and South Glengarry who answered any other calls during the fire.
