Fire on Lunenburg's waterfront

Fire broke out at about 19:00 hours on Friday, Sept. 27 in a building on Lunenburg's waterfront which houses Echo Bay Marine Limited.

Responding firefighters set up a defensive attack from the beginning as there was no threat to life and the contents of the building, which had recently changed hands were uncertain.

Additional mutual aid was requested and while the fire building suffered extensive damage there was no damage to nearby structures or boats.

Departments responding to the fire were: Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Bridgewater, Dayspring, Cornwall, New Germany, Walden, Conquerall Bank, Blandford, Blockhouse, Riverport, Oakhill, Martin's River, Northfield, Chester and Kentville Windsor.
