St-Paul, QC - 2004-07-17

The St-Paul-Ile-aux-Noix, QC, fire department had an opportunity for some live fire training on July 17, 2004. A local farmer wishing to expand his field and remove a house which he no longer wanted on his farm donated the building to the department for practice.

The St-Paul-Ile-aux-Noix department is under the direction of Daniel Gamache and includes 3 pumps, 2 tankers, 1 quint, 1 rescue and 1 first responder unit. The 36 man volunteer department operates out of two stations. The department also provides protection for St-Valentin and St-Blaise and is part of the Clinton County, NY, mutual aid system.

Rescue Hose 5 from Plattsburgh, NY who provide breathing air and manpower support to the mutual aid system. Several different fire situations were set up. Following the final exercise the house was allowed to burn freely until completely destroyed.
