Three buildings were destroyed by fire in the early morning of June 29 in Foam Lake, SK. There were no injuries in the fire which has left one family homeless and six businesses in rubble. Community spirit saw folks come together to salvage records from the doctor's office before the fire spread to that building and seniors from a nearby seniors home were moved to the community centre owing to the smoke from the fire. Local teenagers were recruited to take care of any embers which got away from the fire. While the fire is a hard blow to the town of 1200 rebuilding is anticipated and life will certainly continue.
